Practical Living through Biblical Principles

1 Peter 3:8 – “Finally, all of you, be like-minded, be sympathetic, love one another, be compassionate and humble.”‭‭

2 Corinthians‬ ‭13:11‬ ‭- “Finally, brothers and sisters, rejoice! Strive for full restoration, encourage one another, be of one mind, live in peace. And the God of love and peace will be with you.”‭

My church had a guest speaker this past Sunday and part of her message touched on the topic “Beyond Politics”. In fact, later that evening, she hosted a prayer conference with that same title. I share that because I’ve come to the realization that we as a nation, in particularly the body of Christ, have gotten so caught up on the election and the world’s agenda, that we’ve forgotten about God’s agenda. Even as Christians, we’ve become so divided over our political views, that we’ve succumbed to the division of the enemy instead of the unity that God calls us to.

Even the Pledge of Allegiance calls for unity in God: “one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.” So when did we become a nation so divided? It’s time for us to put aside our differences and move forward in unity and love.

Action: Pray for unity, peace and love for our country and all over the world. Share God’s message of unity with a minimum of 2 people each week.
