Practical Living through Biblical Principles

What Does Your Fruit Say About You

By Pastor Brenda Gray

Matthew 12:33 (NIV) Make a tree good and its fruits will be good, or make a tree bad and its fruits will be bad, for a tree is recognized by its fruit.

Something to think about: The tree is you and you are recognized and judged by your fruits. The fruits are your actions and words. The world is always looking to discredit the saints of God. There are people who will never step a foot into a church. Your life is what they will see. Are you carrying yourself in a manner that is pleasing to God? Are the words that are coming out of your mouth pleasing to God?

I have noticed during my lifetime that people seem to have so many different personalities. When they come to church it is hallelujah and praise the Lord. With their husband they complain, with their children they are fussy and with their friends they are the sweetest people.

People are not consistent. We need to learn to be the person that God has called us to be at all times. People don’t want to sacrifice, they just want to do what’s good for themselves. They never want to get out of their comfort zone.

Starting today let’s start putting others needs before ours, get out of your comfort zone. Let’s be loving, considerate, selfless, thoughtful, kind, understanding etc.  Remember people may doubt what you say, but they will always believe what you do. Amen!

Prayer starter: Father in the name of Jesus, please forgive me for my actions that are not pleasing to you. Please change my character to what you want it to be…
