Proverb 3:5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not to your own understanding.

Something to think about: Have you ever sat and pondered on this scripture? What does this scripture really mean? I understand it to mean that we can’t trust God with just a little bit of our heart or half of our heart. We must trust him with our whole heart. We must learn to trust God with everything: our job, our finances, our health, our children, our spouses, etc. When we come to realize that God will never do anything that is not in our best interest, then we can begin to trust him with everything, with all our heart.

The second part of the scripture says, “and lean not to your own understanding”. We must stop getting in the way of God. Stop thinking small and start thinking big. God’s ways and thoughts are not like our ways and thoughts. You may be asking for a supervisor position when God wants to give you a manager position. You may be asking for a house when God wants to give you a mansion. When things don’t seem to be going the way that you expect them to, remember God is thinking bigger not smaller.

Prayer: Father in the name of Jesus, show me how to love and trust you with all my heart……..
