Acts 9:11-15: 11 The Lord told him, “Go to the house of Judas on Straight Street and ask for a man from Tarsus named Saul, for he is praying. 12 In a vision he has seen a man named Ananias come and place his hands on him to restore his sight.” 13 “Lord,” Ananias answered, “I have heard many reports about this man and all the harm he has done to your holy people in Jerusalem. 14 And he has come here with authority from the chief priests to arrest all who call on your name.” 15 But the Lord said to Ananias, “Go! This man is my chosen instrument to proclaim my name to the Gentiles and their kings and to the people of Israel.
It does not matter where you start, what matters is how you end.
Saul despised Jesus Christ and all of His followers, however God still saw fit to use Saul as a vessel to spread the Gospel. Though Saul had committed many sins against the Lord, he became one of the most devout Christians during that time, spreading the word of God at all costs. He was not afraid of being persecuted because: 1) he knew how important it was to share the word of God with others as their eternal lives depended on it and 2) he trusted God completely that no matter what happened, it was in God’s will for him.
Are you ashamed of sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ? Are you worried about what people will say or think about you if you consistently share the Good news of Jesus Christ in order to save lives? God has a purpose and a plan for everyone. We all play a part in saving lives and advancing His kingdom. Do you realize that someone’s soul is depending on you to do your part! Ouch, I know it may not always be easy, but anything you will ever do for God, any trial you ever face on His behalf will surely be worth it.
Prayer starter: Father, it’s in the name of Jesus that I pray, lifting you up, glorifying you, giving you all the honor that you are due. Lord create in me a clean heart and renew my spirit in you. Use me as a vessel to save souls and positively change the lives of people that are waiting for me to do my part…
