John 14:13 – God said that whatever you ask in His name, that will he do, so that He may be glorified through His Son, Jesus Christ.
The key to prayer is to ask for whatever you are seeking in His name. Often times, we go to God and expect Him to do for us and then are disappointed when it seems as if our prayer is not being answered. If that happens, several things could be at play:
1) Try to recall if you asked in His name.
2) Look for signs that He did in fact answer your prayer, just maybe not the way you expected Him to answer.
3) Does the answer to your prayer glorify God and most importantly, are you giving Him the Glory and not stealing the glory for yourself.
Remember, nothing in this life matters without God, so if you are reading this and happen not to be saved, pray this simple prayer with me (Romans 10:9-10):
Prayer: I confess with my mouth that Jesus is Lord and I believe in my heart that God raised Him from the dead. I accept you as Lord and savior over my life. Continue to work in me, so that I may strive to live a life pleasing to you, in Jesus name, Amen!
If you prayed this prayer, you are now saved. Find a church home where you can grow in His word.
